Funny Amazon Movie Reviews

Funny Amazon movie reviews

I wrote about some funny Amazon product reviews in a recent blog. Today, I stumbled across a Twitter account which reveals details of some funny Amazon movie reviews. Some of our favourites are detailed below for you to enjoy… Laughter is the best medicine after all.

The Shawshank Redemption

First up, my favourite movie and highly regarded by most, the brilliant Shawshank Redemption. Although not everyone agrees with my assessment on Amazon. One reviewer says, “What’s so great about it? It’s like Stir Crazy, but without Gene Wilder”, whilst another one-star reviewer says, “I didn’t need to sit through 90 minutes just to see a guy going through a crap tube barfing up his guts”.

Rocky IV

Next up for the one-star treatment is another classic movie, Rocky IV, starring Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa. Some reviewers are not impressed with comments such as “The soundtrack is horrific and constantly thrust in our faces during the multiple montage scenes” and “no magic, no charm, no excitement…just greased up boxers who never learned to guard their faces in a fight”. No punches being held there.

Grease is not the word for this reviewer

I’m not a big fan of the 1978 movie Grease, but l certainly wouldn’t go as far as one Amazon reviewer, Mr McGriddle, who shares his thoughts on the film with us,”It makes you want to stick a coat hanger through your ear holes and out your eyes so you won’t have to hear or see this movie ever again”. I think it’s fair to say he’s not a big fan of Sandy and Danny.
