Finding items that are trending on eBay is one of the best ways you can get your finger on the pulse of what’s currently hot and in demand. It’s also a neat way of setting seasonal items aside in favour of what can get you sales right now, any time of year.

If you start off, you’ll get a bunch of random categories with ten trending items. These are updated regularly so you don’t have to worry about out-of-date information, but make sure to check back regularly so you don’t miss out.

Plus, seeing items from random categories can let you see immediately if they’re worth selling or not. Some might be too heavy/bulky/expensive to ship, while others will make that light bulb go off in your head.

The neat thing about using Trending on eBay is that you can gather information and make decisions in a matter of minutes. And once you’ve done that, it’s a far more direct process in obtaining those items, putting up product descriptions, and cashing in on their hotness.

 

2. DataLabs

What about if you want to know the most popular products on eBay in real time? Well, that’s DataLabs for you. They’ll show you what’s trending on eBay each hour so you can get the most live updates possible.

While the layout is a bit different from the previous tool, it’s still just as simple to use. Head to the ‘What’s Popular’ section and filter your search to include stuff from eBay.

Narrow things down a little more by selecting ‘Top Sold’ and using ‘Last Hour’ as your preferred timeline. Like the previous tool, it’ll show an assortment of items from different categories, but you can also select your own categories to more better match your own inventory.
