Amazon reportedly nixes its price parity requirement for third-party sellers in the US: Catherine Shu at TechCrunch reports that Amazon will stop forbidding third-party merchants who list on its e-commerce platform in the United States from selling the same products on other sites for lower prices, reports Axios. The company’s decision to end its price parity provision comes three months after Sen. Richard Blumenthal urged the Department of Justice to open an antitrust investigation into Amazon’s policies and a few days after Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Ecommerce is the ‘future for a lot of markets,’ Adidas CEO says: Chloe Taylor at CNBC reports that Adidas CEO Kasper Rorsted see ecommerce as a tremendous opportunity.  He said, “We launched our own app last year, and it’s been downloaded more than 7 million times in more than 25 countries. The tech giant lobbied more government entities last year than any other public U.S. company, covering issues like healthcare, transportation, defence, and labour regulation. Across 2018, Amazon contacted 40 different federal entities on 21 different general issue areas, Axios reports. The only tech giant to lobby on more issues than Amazon was Google’s Alphabet. Amazon is hiring 3,000 remote workers in 18 states: Abigail Hess at CNBC reports that Amazon has announced plans to hire 3,000 remote workers in 18 states. The job listing for customer service associates, posted on March 4th, indicates that the role pays $15 an hour, provides health care coverage after 90 days of employment and offers overtime pay.
